Basic Function
Provide expert-level civil engineering services on projects, ensuring their successful design and construction. Deep understanding of engineering principles, codes, and regulations to develop solutions, oversee projects, and contribute to the advancement of civil infrastructure. Provide expert-level knowledge in specific civil engineering areas such as structural design, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, water resources engineering, or construction management.
Job Scope
Creating and reviewing engineering drawings, performing calculations and analyses, and developing specifications for various civil engineering projects (roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, etc.).The scope often includes using specialized software and considering environmental and regulatory factors. Play a crucial role in ensuring that construction adheres to the design specifications and quality standards. This includes reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, conducting site inspections, and resolving construction-related issues.
Principal Duties
Lead and perform complex engineering calculations, design plans, specifications, and reports for various civil engineering projects. Utilize relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for design and analysis.
Manage portions of projects or entire small-scale projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. May oversee the work of junior engineers and technicians.
Provide construction support, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to requests for information (RFIs), conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes, standards, regulations, and best practices related to civil engineering. Ensure project compliance with all applicable requirements.
Prepare and deliver presentations and reports.
Stay abreast of new technologies, methodologies, and advancements in civil engineering.
Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
Assists in the technical review meetings with SAPMT and other technical entities.
Engages with stakeholders to ensure smooth projects’ implementation including timely design package review, resolving any obstacles through site visits and meetings with the concerned parties.
Assist Professional Engineer/Project Manager in project scoping, task hour budgets, schedules, and site monitoring.
Resolve site technical issues and work progress issues.
Assist SPARK tenants with construction needs on-site, which include ensuring proper site access and supporting daily activities.
Review submittals and transmittals internally or externally.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to help and technical support.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the management.
Job Requirements
A minimum of 6 years of related experience is required.
Excellent command of oral and written English is required.
Proficiency in relevant civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
