About HAKA
Objective
The Project Manager’s role is essential in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within company. The role holder will lead the implementation of small to large projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams and a range of internal and external stakeholders. This role will deploy the full range of the department’s tools and processes to ensure the successful design and deployment and delivery of all assigned projects throughout their full lifecycles with a strong focus on achieving the intended benefits and operational performance goals.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute projects under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager and the Project Delivery Lead Management to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with predefined and agreed objectives and quality standards.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, and budgets. Continuously monitor project progress, identifying and addressing issues, risks and changes as they arise.
Work with the Director Project Delivery Lead Management to define project milestones/objectives and deliverables for projects and establish a framework for monitoring and reporting project performance.
Collaborate with project team members to identify and implement improvement strategies that enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness and mitigate issues and risks.
Work closely with various departments within the Centre of Excellence (COE) to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of project activities with overall business objectives.
Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned with project goals, objectives and the status of all assigned projects.
Implement and uphold rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure that projects meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations.
Conduct regular project audits to verify adherence to established quality guidelines and identify areas for improvement.
Identify potential project issues, risks, changes and collaborate within the Project Delivery Teams to develop contingency and mitigation plans to proactively address challenges that may impact project delivery.
Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to optimize project delivery and ensure the efficient utilization of resources.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, all project logs and documentation of lessons learned, in line with organizational standards.
Provide regular updates and reports on project status to the Director Project Delivery Lead Management, Chief Operational Excellence Officer, and relevant stakeholders.
Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their Capabilities.
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
Implement all relevant Department’s policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required
Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred
PMP / Prince 2 certifications.
Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written business English.
7 years’ experience in similar or related field.
Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, delivery, reporting and effective communication.
