Responsibilities

• Lead pre-project technical studies to determine the feasibility and viability of proposed projects, ensuring informed decision-making and the alignment of resources with project goals for optimal success.

• Direct the preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) for all types of projects, ensuring thorough analysis of potential impacts and facilitating informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.

• Guide the performance of cost-benefit analyses, business case evaluations, and investment payback period calculations, ensuring accurate financial assessments and informed decision-making.

• Identify specific requirements based on the project's nature, such as water and fuel specifications, to facilitate precise project planning and adherence to technical and regulatory standards.

• Oversee and manage site evaluation studies and tests, including Geotechnical Soil Investigations, to ensure reliable data availability for accurate engineering assessments and optimal project design and execution.

• Lead the preparation and monitoring of consultancy contracts for feasibility studies while overseeing technical and optimization studies tailored to project specifics, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project goals.

• Collaborate with relevant functions such as Scoping and Cost Estimation to achieve a comprehensive feasibility assessment, ensuring that all project aspects are thoroughly evaluated.

• Coordinate with external entities, such as regulatory bodies or partners, to obtain relevant data and insights, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective project planning.

• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends to ensure the implementation of the latest standards and techniques in engineering studies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical is preferred).

  • Minimum 8-year experience in engineering studies, project management or a related field.

  • Leadership skills and strategy and business planning skills is required (Management / leading level experience is plus point).
