Requirements

1- Technical Skills

  • Proficient in the installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems, including control panels, field devices, and associated components. Experienced in cable laying, continuity testing, and conduit installation, including various routing techniques such as bending and offsetting. Skilled in device termination and ferruling, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Capable of troubleshooting fire alarm devices and performing basic system programming. Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately. Possesses sound knowledge of fire alarm system components and their functions.

  • Competent in the use of electrical testing instruments, including multimeters, and experienced in conducting insulation resistance testing using a megger.

2- Regular Maintenance

  • Experienced in performing routine maintenance and inspection of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with applicable standards. Well-versed in the required maintenance frequencies for all fire alarm system components.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing faults or malfunctions within fire alarm systems. Capable of carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including cleaning and replacement of components such as batteries, sensors, and detectors as required

3- Documentation & Record Maintenance

  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date documentation of all installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance activities related to fire alarm systems. Maintains detailed records in compliance with applicable standards and company procedures.

  • Capable of preparing service reports, test certificates, and maintenance logs, including recording system status, identified issues, and corrective actions taken. Ensures proper filing and accessibility of documents for audits, inspections, and future reference.
